Visiting Lecturer - Jonathan Ashworth

Jonathan Ashworth's work relates to my own because of the elements of darkness that are seen throughout his work. As well as the more political pieces that pack more of a punch even when using such a intricate way of work.

This relates to the 'Printed Pictures' brief that I am currently working on so it has been useful to speak with him and get advice on how he works as well as how to deal with life after university.

Seeing the prints and the woodblocks in person really stood out to me because of the level of skill and craftwork that has been put into these extensive prints.
